Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?

Title Case capitalises the main words, as in "The Lord of the Rings": short words such as a, and, of, the and to stay lower case unless they come first or last. Sentence case capitalises only the first word of each sentence, plus the word "I", as in "The lord of the rings". Most style guides use Title Case for book and article titles and Sentence case for headings on websites and in apps.

When should I use camelCase, snake_case or kebab-case?

Follow the language you are writing. JavaScript and Java use camelCase for variables and functions (userName) and PascalCase for classes and React components (UserCard). Python and SQL column names use snake_case (user_name), and CONSTANT_CASE is for constants (MAX_USERS). kebab-case (user-name) is for CSS classes, HTML attributes, URLs and file names.

Is my text saved or sent anywhere?

No. The conversion runs in JavaScript in your browser, so your text never leaves your device and nothing is stored. You can use the tool offline once the page has loaded.
