Coding interview questions and answers
The questions interviewers actually ask in frontend, backend and full-stack rounds, each with a clear answer, a short code example where it helps, and what the interviewer is really checking. Grouped from fresher to advanced, so you can start where you are.
HTML interview questions
Semantic markup, forms, accessibility, SEO tags and the questions every frontend round starts with.
CSS interview questions
Specificity, the box model, Flexbox, Grid, positioning and responsive layouts, explained with code.
JavaScript interview questions
Closures, hoisting, this, promises, the event loop and the output questions interviewers love.
React interview questions
Hooks, state, re-renders, keys, context and performance questions for React developer roles.
Node.js interview questions
The event loop, Express middleware, REST APIs, JWT auth, streams and backend security basics.
SQL interview questions
Joins, keys, normalization, indexes, transactions and the classic queries asked in every round.
Python interview questions
Data types, comprehensions, decorators, generators, OOP and the GIL, with exact outputs.
How to use these questions
- Read the question and answer it out loud before you open the answer. Interviews test explaining, not recognising.
- Type out every code example and change it. If you cannot predict the output, you do not know it yet.
- Finish the fresher level of HTML, CSS and JavaScript before React or Node.js. Most rounds start there.
- Check what companies are asking for right now on Kodyfier Jobs, and test yourself with the free HTML, CSS & JS challenge.
